About Dovestone Youth Rangers

Dovestone Youth Rangers is a group of young people from Oldham aged 11-19. We meet every Sunday to plan and oragainse projects and activities up at Dovestone Reservoir.

The youth rangers are from all boroughs of Oldham and are from a variety of backgrounds and schools. We take part in the following:

  • Tree planting
  • Pond digging
  • Outdoor pursuits
  • Conservation & research
  • Filming wildlife
  • Environmental clean ups
  • Peak District Youth Award
  • John Muir Award

Some of our youth rangers are using the Dovestone Youth Rangers as part of their Volunteering aspect for their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Please note that the blog is updated and checked on a Sunday when we meet.
